Never Miss a Workability Post

What do you do at the times when you know you have something to say, but you can’t figure out what it is.  This might be when you feel out of sorts with someone.  When you are angry at someone.  When you are not sure how to handle a particular situation.  Or maybe when you are upset, angry or sad about how they have treated you.  Whatever the case, how do you determine what is true for you when you are frightened (either a lot or a little) about what to say and how to say it?

A useful experiment to help you find what your truth is,  is to imagine what you wish somebody else would tell this person.  What would you want this person to know, what would you want them to hear if you didn’t have to risk it coming out of your mouth?  Sometimes our fear of speaking our truth also stops us from thinking it and knowing it for ourselves.

This simple experiment can really help you get at the heart of what is true for you.  Once you know what is true, you can decide what you want to say and what you don’t want to say.

To knowing our truth
